Product Review: Daiya New York Cheezecake (Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Soy Free)

daiya new york cheezecake - Gluten Free Trini
For my birthday a few days ago, I bought a lot of desserts so I here is a review of one of them, the daiya New York Cheezecake which I bought from Be Free Foods Organic Grocery.

Calories:

In the instructions, it was mentioned to slice the cheesecake into 4 – 6 equal pieces. If you create 4 pieces, 1 slice would have 360 calories and 17g of sugar. So I had cut the cheesecake into 8 pieces (180 calories each).

Size:

The size of the box is approximately 7in x 7in. When I took out the cheesecake, it had a diameter of 5in. Yes, I used a ruler to make sure I was seeing correctly. The slice was almost the same length as the prongs on the fork.

Cost:

It is expensive especially for the size of it compared to the average cheesecake. When I bought it, it had cost approximately TT$130.00. The instructions on the box also mention that it would be best to consume in 48 hours. My aim is to consume over a week and see how that goes.

Taste:

It tastes great. Just like the one with dairy (cream cheese). It doesn’t have a bad aftertaste and I wanted to eat more after my depressingly-small slice of cheesecake. The crust was a bit thin but it did taste like a graham crust.

Overall Review:

I would buy this again but for only a special occasion and I honestly do not want to share with anyone since it tastes so good and I want it to last longer. There are other flavours available such as Strawberry, Chocolate and Key Lime.
